A Message from the President

“He said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.’” (Luke 10:2)

Integrity friends,
We are grateful for the outpouring of support that we have received over the past couple of weeks. Donations to Integrity USA are up. People have also reached out to ask what they can do to help. It is wonderful to see fellow Episcopalians rallying around a common vision - Integrity envisions a church where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcomed and affirmed.

Our diverse membership has a history of embracing this common vision and working together, which is why so much has been accomplished in the 45 years since Integrity was founded by Louie Crew. But as the Rev. Canon Susan Russell reminded us in her Facebook post over the weekend, “there are still places in the church where the aspirational goal of full inclusion is yet to be realized and we have to keep up the struggle until there is not a single stranger left at a single gate.”

We, as your board, recognize there is much to do to strengthen Integrity USA. But we are up to the challenge. We are listening to your concerns and working to address them. I know some people want immediate answers. If only it were that simple! Significant organizational change takes time. We appreciate your recognition of this, your patience and your prayers.
Join us and let’s work together to design an Integrity that will build on the strong legacy of the past while ensuring that in the future, no strangers will be left at the gate.

Blessings,
Gwen Fry
Integrity USA President
